Article 1: Definitions
1.1. In general terms and conditions of the 24hr Sittard the following terms have the following meanings:
a. Event: the 24hr Sittard running event organized by Stichting Duursport Valkenburg a / d Geul.
b. Participant: the person who has registered for participation in the event through pre-registration.
c. Agreement: the agreement pertaining to the participation of the participant in the event.
d. Organizer: the legal person (in this case the Stichting Duursport Valkenburg) with which the participant has entered into this agreement.
1.2. These general terms and conditions apply to every agreement.
Article 2: Participation
2.1. Children under 18 can only participate with parental consent.
2.2. The participant may only participate in the event if he has fully and truthfully filled in the registration form to that effect and if the participant has agreed to the general terms and conditions.
2.3. The organizer may decide at a late time to cancel the event due to force majeure. In case of cancellation due to force majeure, a new date will be set.
2.4. The organizer is not liable for costs incurred by the participant if the event has to be canceled due to force majeure.
Article 3: Liability
3.1. Participation is at your own risk. The organizer is not liable for any damage. This exclusion of liability also applies to serious damage types, such as all possible damage types as a result of injury or death.
3.2. If, in spite of the provisions of the first paragraph of this article, liability of the organizer for damage to the participant must be assumed, the obligation of the organizer to compensate that damage is limited to a maximum of the amount that the insurer of the organizer has in respect of that pays out damage.
3.3. The participant must be adequately insured against the risk of damage that he or a surviving relative may suffer as a result of his death, injury or illness, caused by his participation in the event.
3.4. The participant declares that he / she is aware of the fact that participation requires good health in both a psychological and physical sense, and declares that he meets this requirement and that he has prepared himself sufficiently for the event through training and otherwise. The organizer explicitly and urgently advises the participant to undergo a sports medical examination in connection with participation in the event.
3.5. The participant indemnifies the organizer against liability for damage that third parties may suffer as a result of an act or omission attributable to a participant with regard to the event. The participant must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for such damage.
3.6. The participant indemnifies the organizer against liability for damage that the participant may suffer as a result of his participation in the event.
Article 4: Privacy
You grant permission in advance to the organizer for the publication of photos and camera images taken during or around the event. Photos and images can be taken by third parties and can be viewed via a link on our website and social media channels.
The GDPR gives the participant the right to withdraw his / her consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent before the competition, the registration will expire. You will not get your money back. If you withdraw your consent during or after the competition, we will do our best to replace your name on the result with "XXXX" as soon as possible. For photos, you must indicate which photo should be removed. Then we will do our best to have it removed.
Article 5: Regulations
The 24hr Sittard regulations apply to participation by the participant in the event
